Indonesia’s large, young and growing population provide fertile opportunities for consumer goods industries. Mahanusa, through Yupi, has established a leading position in the Indonesian confectionery sector and now aims to be the leading company in the Southeast Asian region.
Mining
Mahanusa jointly owns and operates extensive nickel mining and trading operations, taking advantage of the fact that Indonesia is the largest nickel producer in the world. We are also encouraged by significant downstream ecosystems being built around the country, attracting global capital and expertise.
Property
Mahanusa also invests in several sectors which we believe could grow in the future, such as technology and sustainability, in which we intend to focus more in the future, putting more capital to work. We also engage in opportunistic activities in the luxury retail and speciality chemical businesses.
Financial
Having started in the financial sectors, we are still active through two companies in the consumer finance and fund management sectors, both in Indonesia and the Southeast Asian region.

Daniel is a co-founder of Mahanusa. He co-chairs the investment committee of Mahanusa and sets the strategic direction of Mahanusa’s direct investment activities. Daniel is also actively involved in managing the investee companies, sitting on the Boards of all of Mahanusa’s investee companies.

Maria is a Partner and a member of the investment committee of Mahanusa. She is actively involved in the due diligence, setups, monitoring and executions of those companies that Mahanusa invest in, especially in the consumer goods and diversified sectors.
